About Karen

Karen is an award winning photographer and has been published in magazines such as Canadian Geographic and Nature's Best. Her work has also been displayed in The Canadian Museum of Nature and her underwater dog photo was the inspiration behind a 4 story mural in Belgium.

Karen's love of photography started early when she got her first camera at 9 years old. She focused mostly on nature photography for a long time. Eventually she became involved in dog rescue and started taking photos of dogs that needed homes. She continued to work with dogs in a variety of capacities, including at doggy daycares, vet clinics, and as a dog walker. Karen practices only positive reinforcement training with her own dogs along with any dogs she photographs.
